A wonderful interactive session with our children regarding their safety and awareness about "Child Sex abuse". The subject is very sensitive and least spoken but needed to be talked about and educate children to help them protect themselves and can differentiate between good and bad touch.
The number of cases registered for child abuse raised from 8,904 in the year 2014 to 14,913 in the year 2015, under the POSCO Act. Sexual offences and kidnapping account for 81% of the crimes against minors.
Figures say that more children are facing molestation even at home.
So senior member of Psychology department at BHU, dealt with it & showed them a short film. Our Volunteer interacted with the children. Interaction was so wonderful and children's response was unexpectedly positive. All these made the session very successful.
